Vacation :)

I was so nervous for the drive to Vegas, we did it when Alyssa was 3 months old and she did ok, but she slept alot more then and was content. This time she is so mobile and gets fussy when she doesn't get her way (wonder where she gets that from haha) but she was a dang champ!! She was happy to play with the toys we brought and only had one tantrum...we were optimistic for the trip :)
The first day we got to spend it with Jenn and Ollie, we hit up the Mandalay Bay aquarium and while Ollie had way more fun than Alyssa, she managed to enjoy herself :)

She LOVED the queen sized bed, she would throw herself around and was totally nuts

Playing with Ollie before dinner, she just kinda stood there watching him run around and then once he stood still she would stumble over to him, so freaking cute seeing them together

This is how I had hoped she would nap this trip. Didn't happen. I think it was a mixture of the heat and the lights and sounds, she was just super over stimulated if we walked the strip for long, we had a few meltdowns and by the end of the trip were content to stay in the room instead of making her uncomfortable.

We got to see the lions and tigers and dolphins at the Mirage, that was fun! Jason loves the big cats so watching him explore is so cute :)

Watching Wheel of Fortune with dad!

Totally chill

Haha, we REALLY wanted to see a zoo, with monkeys and gorillas and big cats and wolves and big animals...so when we heard Vegas had a zoo we were stoked, saved it for the last day and I think Jason was more excited than anything haha, so we drive towards the area and we are in the ghetto...so I'm getting nervous. Turns out this 'zoo' doesn't really have parking, its on the street and its pretty shady. But its 9 dollars so we pay and go in, it was pretty crappy. The animals all seemed happy but most the animals were birds, like parrots and chickens. NOT what we were expecting. We saw some turtles and emus and ostriches and a sleeping lion and a sleeping cougar. But Alyssa got to pet some stanky goats haha! She loves animals so she was happy, we kept saying Nice Nice like we do with our pets and she would just laugh and laugh.

Oh Las Vegas....I know there will be many many more trips. Especially now that Jenn is getting married, gonna have to make it down for bridal shower and bachlorette parties. I got to see her try on a few dresses and I'm so excited for everything else to come together :)

Suzy Homemaker

So because the pictures are the best part Ill start with those :)
My all time favorite!

Seriously, the cutest tush I have ever seen. Not that Im biased

Her smile is the start of all my own

I love when she gazes up at me

SO big :)

Ok ok, about my title. Im not a feminist. IM not. Im glad we are almost to equal rights for all. Im glad I have the choice to work and make almost as much as my male counterparts. But Im also glad we have chosen as a family, and as a lifestyle for me to stay home with my babe and to be a homemaker. If Jason wouldnt have been on the same page then we wouldnt have been able to do this ovbiously...but to do dishes and clean house and make sure the kid is clothed and clean...it just makes me so happy. And believe me, I was the last to think that I would enjoy this 'work'. Im looking forward to car pools and t-ball practice and Im so thrilled to have friends over for sleep overs and to do crafts, even though Im not so crafty. Im just so bloody content with my life. Im glad Im in school and I will go back to work part time once the kids are in school but for now...bring on the bliss :)
