Half way gone

Ill start with my first born, because she demands attention :) Well, after her month long temper tantrum craze...I think we may have passed the worst of it! I now get quite a few days of 'Good Lyss' in between her bad days. I can handle that. Gives me a few normal, happy days to get ahold of my hormones and temper. She is getting so dang talkative too!! Tells all sorts of stories and repeats everything we say (guess it really is time to start watching my mouth!) She is just so...amazing. She counts with us, is learning the alphabet song, is a homebody like mom and dad, knows her brothers name and knows its Parker's room and Parker's bed, she LOVES band aids, her stuffed animals, butt cream, French fries, ranch, eating in her chair with big girl utensils, picking out her own shoes and socks (hello socks with sandals) putting skirts on over her pants, and so much more. She is a little fireball and I can not wait to see what else she comes up with.

We had our 20 week anatomy scan and we are still having a little boy :) Its so amazing to see him floating and squirming and punching like crazy, the doctor kept saying how active he is...I know! I can feel him flipping and punching and kicking. He happens to be standing straight up, breech, so I feel his kicks around my c section scar and I just started feeling punches up high by my ribs. I can even see some of his kicks from the outside of my belly when I'm being quiet and still in my nightly baths. SO much earlier than with Alyssa.

We found some cute material to make his bassinet cover, the pale pinks from Alyssa just wont do :)

I bought grey and teal/aqua ribbon and made his crib a little more exciting. I LOVE the colors and its making his room so much more real.

With Weston gone, we felt a hole in our lives, so we managed to pick up a new friend. Chaplin is an ittsy bitsy white kitten with black spots. He has a total Hitler mustache (Hitler was a name option but decided it wasn't very PC) and he is a total monster!! I have not had a kitten in so long, our last couple cats were gotten at an older age. Dexter tolerates him, and the dogs think he is their own personal play toy. He fits right in to our family. Alyssa has to be watched because she likes to pick him up and toss him around...brat.

Our Third annual September Tahoe trip. Stacie decided to run the Triple Marathon this time and we were ready to cheer her on, she did amazing and ended up running a full lap around Lake Tahoe (on separate days). Jason joined her for the Sunday race and we got to catch up with his parents for a couple days. It was a good trip but even better to get home to our own bed and get Alyssa back into her own routine. She only napped for short periods and wasn't sleeping well...once home she ran around like crazy playing with all her toys and making sure everything was still here.

And finally, a 21 week preggo belly.
